Movies Everyone Should Watch While They're Still a Teen

Movies are a window to different worlds; they are what help you escape reality for a little while and enter a magical world. Movies, like books, give us many emotions. You can laugh at a sitcom, cry during a romantic film, and feel the fear from a horror movie. Our world can be seen in any way with film; you can make everything possible. The movies listed will give you a tiny bit of everything.

Almost Famous

Almost Famous is a story about a teenage journalist in the 70s who writes about a fictional band named Stillwater and goes on tour with them. One of the main characters is a

girl named Penny Lane, who is head over heels for one of the band members. This movie will bring you joy and tears; it will make you feel the love that Penny Lane feels. Music plays a significant role in our lives, and this movie showcases that well.

Fight Club

Yes, everyone knows fight club, but it's a classic and has to be included on this list. This movie made me question many things about life. It has a significant plot twist, and it will give you an adrenaline rush throughout the movie. The film is about a man who is unsatisfied with his boring life. He is an insomniac who decides to form an underground fighting club with a man named Tyler, a soap maker. As time goes by, their fight club expands and soon turns into a sinister act. I definitely recommend watching Fight Club if you're into psychological movies.

Moonrise Kingdom

Moonrise Kingdom, a movie directed by Wes Anderson about two kids: Sam is a twelve-

year-old orphan in a boys camp and a girl named Suzy who has problems with her family. They fall in love with each other and run away together, causing the town to look for them. This movie draws a line between grown-ups and kids, and shows how kids can make everything that adults do more fun and exciting. Wes Anderson never disappoints.

Silver Linings Playbook

Pat is a man with anger issues; he was sent to a mental hospital after attacking his wife's

"sneaky link". After a few months, he goes back home and meets Tiffany, a girl who is not free of problems herself. They agreed that Pat had to dance with her for a competition, and in return, she would help fix things with his wife. The plot thickens as they start to understand each other more and slowly catch feelings. Yes, it is a very sweet film.

10 Things I hate About You

Everyone should have a chance to watch this fantastic rom-com, especially if you want to get a good cry out of it. This film is set in high school, two sisters who are opposites of each other, one who is the popular girl named Bianca that everyone loves and her sibling Kat, the anti-social mean girl. Bianca cannot date until Kat does, so a couple of boys pay the school's mysterious guy named Patrick (A.k.a Heath Ledger) to go out with Kat. And that is where Kat's and Patrick's love story begins.

Adventureland

The handsome actor Jesse Eisenberg, also known as the knock-off version of Mark Zuckerberg, plays in this great movie. This movie is perfect for teens, it is fun to watch, and attractive people participate in it. The movie is about a boy who has to pay for some courses, so he starts working in an amusement park during summer, sounds fun, right? At first, he hates it, but then he meets a girl and falls in love with her. After that, their relationship is an ongoing roller coaster with many ups and downs, no pun intended.

The Royal Tenenbaums

Just in case you didn't watch it when Mr. Anthony gave it to us for homework, you should. One of my personal favorites. It is about a very gifted family of geniuses who are messed up in their way. They were all distant, but certain events slowly got them closer together. The movie has terrific colors and scenes, and it is filmed beautifully. It will make you laugh, maybe even cry. It might even give you a melancholic feeling; I got all of it. A big thank you to Wes Anderson for making this beautiful film.

Reality Bites

A must-watch if you like Ethan Hawke, Ben Stiller, and Winona Ryder. The movie is about an aspiring videographer working on a documentary about the life of her and her friends. A minor spoiler: there is excellent chemistry between Winona Ryder and Ethan Hawke.

Boyhood

The ups and downs of growing up are seen through the point of view of a boy named Mason and his family. Fun fact: this movie took twelve years to film, so the same cast stayed, and you get to watch a six-year-old boy grow up into an eighteen-year-old adult. Teens might enjoy this film even more since it is so relatable.

How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days

Who doesn't love a good rom-com? Especially one when two beautiful people are playing in it, Kate Hudson and Mathew McConaughey. The movie is about a man whose co-workers challenge to make a woman fall in love with him in ten days and about a girl who has to write an article on losing a guy in ten days. Somehow they meet and decide to test the challenges on each other; thus, their romantic adventure begins.

Thank you for taking the time to read this article. I recommend all of these movies; they will make you laugh, cry and give you a good time. I hope you enjoy them just as much as I do.
