The annual student council elections are held in September, showcasing the tight competition between candidates and the various strategies for success. In 2025, the system was upgraded, with presidents and vice-presidents running together, which encouraged more students to participate. The Juniors demonstrated a close battle with 4 pairs running for office. In the end, Vito Khazaradze and Ioane Khazaradze were chosen as Junior class representatives.

The week before the elections, most candidates relied on their connections in the class, while Ben’s strategy for promoting his and Nika’s candidacy stood out. He wore a humorous cap that said: “Make GZAAT Great Again” and encouraged his peers to vote for him. The elections were held on Friday, juniors presented their speeches in the gym.
Each pair gave arguments to show their leadership and the skills and responsibility towards the class. Some
promised “amazing parties” during the year; others, like Ioane and Vito, chose sincerity as their main quality. They presented arguments to demonstrate their leadership and the skills and responsibilities they had about not making any big promises and instead focusing on more realistic goals they could actually achieve. There was a reference to a past president’s speech about bringing AgroHub to the school. The comment made the whole gym laugh.
After the candidates finished their speeches, the students put in their votes. The winners were announced later that evening, revealing the new representatives of the Class of 2027 - Vito Khazaradze and Ioane Khazaradze.

The Gazette interviewed each candidate about their strategies and goals:
Ben Palagashvili and Nika Mantskava said they would organize small giveaways and sales. “Imagine snacks or a drink station days or imagine a suggestion box, where anyone can anonymously write ideas or problems. We will bring these ideas to the administration.”
Ioane Khazaradze and Vito Khazaradze took a different approach; they promised four amazing parties during the year. “The two of us will be providing everything to have the best time together, and the only thing you will have to do is attend it. Also, we plan to organize a basketball tournament between classes and schools.”

AAT Day is a very special event in our school, so Ninia Tsiklauri and Tornike Chokoshvili promised students a memorable and fun time. “Both of us have always played a big part in organizing and creating the show we present each year. This year, with us being presidents, we will have an even better AAT. We also promise to keep school life memorable and fun.”

Every student’s goal is to get into top colleges, and Nia and Misho considered that. “Our mission is to elevate the academic side. We want to work on different activities: research, projects, or articles with all of you. You will agree that all of us desire to get into a good university, and we will help you achieve that goal. We’ll help you organize clubs, research, and all of the different projects you want to get enrolled in.”
Now, a small comment from the winners:
Ioane Khazaradze: “I’m proud to share that I’ve been elected as the president of the 11th class. Thank you to everyone who supported me – excited to represent our class and make this year a great one!”
Vito Khazaradze: “When we won, it honestly didn’t surprise us – the energy during our speech and the way our classmates got hyped made us feel like the victory was already ours. We believed in our ideas, and the support we felt from everyone confirmed it”.
The 2025 Junior elections went very smoothly and successfully.
We wish the presidents a fun and memorable year!
