Upcoming Movies of 2022
It is always interesting to see what the new year has waiting for us. Whether there'll be ups or downs this year, watching newly released movies is always a good way of passing the time and distracting oneself from the real world. There have been quite a few announcements on what new interesting, long-awaited movies are being released in 2022, and the purpose of this article is to inform you all about them.
The most recent release date is for a movie Uncharted. It is directed by Ruben Fleischer and stars Mark Wahlberg, Antonio Banderas, Sophia Taylor Ali, Tati Gabrielle, and many peoples' favorite - Tom Holland. The movie revolves around a treasure hunter and fortune seeker, Nathan Drake. He sets out to discover the truths behind several mythological treasures and lost towns, leading to battles with other treasure hunters and thieves. The movie is being released on February 18th, 2022.
If any of you love DC, especially Batman, the next one will be pretty interesting for you. On March 4, DC is releasing another movie- The Batman. It was planned for the film to be released in June 2021. However, because of the pandemic, the release date was delayed, and finally, moved to March. Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Jeffrey Wright, Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell. In this movie, Planet of the Apes director, Matt Reeves, tackles what looks to be an even darker take on Batman than we’ve already seen.
Other than these two, it's taken nearly a decade and a half, but the long-awaited new version to James Cameron's once-highest-grossing film, Avatar, is finally here. Even though its release day is quite far away- December 16- it is still good news for those who loved the first one. In the movie, Jake Sully, played by Sam Worthington, and Neytiri, played by Zoe Saldana, have a family on Pandora, but when old enemies return, they must try to escape and find a new home.
However, if you like to watch funny cartoons more than movies, then you’ll be happy to know that on July 1, a new film about minions is being released. The movie was supposed to air in 2021, specifically in July. However, like The Batman, it was also delayed and is being released this year because of the pandemic. The minions were last seen wreaking havoc in 1960s England before meeting up with a young Gru. Perhaps their next adventure with him will be their first. Minions: The Rise of Gru is directed by Kyle Balda and Brad Abelson and is voiced over by Pierre Coffin.
Besides all of these movies, starting from March 30th to the end of this year, there will be a huge amount of Marvel movie releases. In this case, I won’t get into too much detail and straight up tell you the names of the movies. So, the list goes:

Thor: Love and Thunder (July 8, 2022);
Ms. Marvel;
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (November 11, 2022)

Ant-man and the Wasp: Quintumnia (July 28, 2022)
In conclusion, in 2022, there will be a lot of new movies coming up; whether a person likes cartoons, fantasy, DC, or Marvel, they are going to be satisfied this year in any case. So, are you excited?
