Coachella has been a fun experience for years now. If some of you don’t know, Coachella is an annual music and arts festival. However the last two years, Coachella was canceled due to the pandemic. Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, and Rage Against the Machine were all scheduled to headline the event before it was canceled due to COVID-19 in 2020. It was originally scheduled to take place in October 2020, but was then canceled for the first time in 20 years. It was rescheduled for April 2021 before being canceled again in January. No time to worry now, since Coachella will return this spring, and Harry Styles, Kanye West (Ye), and Billie Eilish will headline the event. Coachella 2022 will be held over two weekends in April: April 15-17 and April 22-24.
Surveying the students at GZAAT showed the following data:
Apparently, a fan favorite (in our school) is Ye, who will headline Coachella this year. Most are excited for the return of this fun music and arts festival, which will take our minds off the pandemic.
Since Coachella has had a colorful history, a 10th grader was interviewed regarding the topic.
Interviewer:
Hello, I want to ask you certain questions about Coachella, is that okay?
Interviewee:
Yes, of course. I love the festival very much.
Interviewer:
What do you love about Coachella?
Interviewee:
I generally love these kinds of festivals and Coachella is not an exception. It’s a great place to have a lot of fun, watching our favorite artists perform some of their best songs. I have always wanted to go!
Interviewer:
What is your favorite year of Coachella? Why?
Interviewee:
I loved the 2018 Coachella since some of my favorite artists, Beyonce, Eminem, and The Weeknd headlined. Plus, I loved all the performances.
Interviewer:
Coachella is also known for the unique outfits. What is your favorite outfit?
Interviewee:
I don’t have a favorite, however, I loved Emma Chamberlain’s 2019 look. The outfit really fit
the festival: it was basic, but at the same time very creative.
Interviewer:
Thanks for your time!
Interviewee:
No problem!
Let’s hope for the best Coachella year!
