On the 14th of February, Valentine's day is celebrated all over the world. On this day, loved ones spend time together and send one another gifts and messages to portray their love. This year, two students Elene Ninua and Anastasia Khachidze with the support of the School Culture Committee organized a fun activity to celebrate valentine’s day at GZAAT.
On the 13th of February, the day before Valentine’s, the students could write and send anonymous letters as well as buy various gifts for each other. There was a small stand in the history lounge decorated with the theme of valentine’s day. There was a red box where the letters were placed. A list of gifts students could buy was also offered. The list included flowers, chocolates, books, heart-shaped balloons, stuffed animals, paper rings and so much more.
Many students participated in this activity. There were dozens of letters placed in the letterbox, some written anonymously and some addressed. Many other students selected what presents they wanted to gift to their friends or loved ones to be given to them the next day.
After school, Elene and Anastasia bought and prepared all the gifts for the next day. They wrapped each of them with wrapping paper: some with pink with red hearts and others with light blue. This also elevated the joy in the halls of GZAAT.
On the 14th of February, Valentine's day, all the gifts and anonymous letters were distributed. Some received pretty tulips, others - red roses. Everyone seemed happy and enthusiastic.
While some knew who the gifts came from, many were left wondering from whom their gifts came from. Valentine’s Day at GZAAT turned out to be a fun and enjoyable experience.
