Grand Seiko Elegance Series Ref. SBGW301
In 2001, the Elegance collection welcomed a classic hand-wound three-hand timepiece that demonstrated the timeless quality and beauty of Grand Seiko design. With its subtle and sophisticated appearance, this elegant 37.3 mm wide watch has become one of the top choices for Grand Seiko enthusiasts around the world. Now, 22 years after the much-loved watch was first launched, an updated version has been created. Thanks to careful redesign of the lugs, this new model is now compatible with the recently launched Grand Seiko SBGW305 stainless steel rice bead bracelet.
The watch features a matte ivory dial, simple and pure, decorated only with the Grand Seiko logo.
From the transparent case back held in place by six screws, one can admire the heart of this watch, the hand-wound Grand Seiko 9S64 movement. Despite its relatively small size, the movement achieves a three-day power reserve and consistent levels of precision when fully wound, thanks to the proprietary SPRON alloy used in both the hairspring and mainspring. To prevent any damage to the mainspring due to over-winding, this hand-wound movement uses a special sliding spring structure.
With its modest size and box-shaped sapphire glass, the Grand Seiko SBGW301 is full of mid-century charm and elegance.
